An espresso is the base for most coffee based drinks, but can also be served solo in what is known as the “Short Black”
The process is relatively simple and goes like this. Grind enough coffee ground to extract or brew 25-30ml of espresso in 25-30 secs (Refer to the picture above). So, think about this as 1 ml per second and you should have a beautiful cup of espresso ready for further process or drink as a short black. Please note that there should be approx. 5ml of crema at the top.
