How To Make a Macchiato?

This coffee is very similar to the short black and that's why it's sometimes known as the espresso macchiato.

The process is pretty much the same as making an espresso except you need to top up with a dash of milk foam....usually about 1 teaspoon. For some of you who may not know, macchiato is an italian word for stain or mark. This is where the dash of milk comes from and can be done with hot or cold milk.
